Annual Giving Campaign
Congratulations! We met our goal of $115,000!
Please remember the ONLY two fundraising activities sponsored by the Development Committee are the Annual Giving Campaign and Evening to Treasure. These two events are voluntary, but provide the funding we need to keep our school competitive and up to date. They keep our children from the many door to door sales campaigns other schools conduct... we don't ask them to sell candy or magazines, we simply ask school, parish and friends of BSS to support these two simple activities.
When Blessed Sacrament School established a Development Program, the objective was to remove the burden of fundraising from our children. The endless door-to-door sales efforts have been replaced with two simple, yet critical fundraising efforts, The Annual Giving Campaign and An Evening to Treasure Dinner/Auction. We ask our families to support these two events and do not ask our students / families to participate in magazine and candy sales or the other traditional school fundraisers.
These two events allow us to support the many critical needs of our school not met by the standard school budget and parish subsidy, and allow our children to focus on their education. We do this because the cost of educating our children at a competitive level is not fully met by tuition and the added support of our parish.
The Annual Giving Campaign takes place in the fall of each year. The concept is simple. We ask families to make a tax deductible contribution to Blessed Sacrament School. It can be made as a single donation or paid quarterly. This donation replaces what many families were paying for magazine subscriptions, candy, wrapping paper and other sales, yet, it is tax deductible.
Each parish and school family receives a mailing with campaign details and the highlights of the previous years' campaign.
The Annual Giving Campaign makes possible:
* Teaching Specialists
* Our wonderful Computer Science Lab
* Computers in our Classrooms
* Physical improvements to our school -- bathroom remodeling, desks, new windows
* School Endowment
